LIGHTER LAMBS.
EFFECTS OF DRY SEASON. The dry spell last summer, wliich was felt severely in Canterbury, accounted for a large proportion of sheep and lambs being sent to the freezing works while still under normal weights. This has been one of the factors in lowering the general average in the Dominion. > The Meat Producers' Board publishes a table in its annual report which shows that the weights this season are the lowest over a number of years: —
