Tn fine \veather and before a large attendance the Gisborne Racing Club ceased its existence to-day, after 43 years' racing. The club will henceforth be merged into the Poverty Bay Turf Club. The course was in very fair order in spite of heavy rain for the last two days. The totalisator investments amounted to £4922, compared with £4857 on the second day last year, an increase of £65. ;■ The total for two days was £8317 10/, compared with £i} 969 last year, a decrease of £651 10/.
