IRAQ'S REQUEST.
MEMBERSHIP OF LEAGUE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, July 29. A formal request that Iraq should be admitted to the League of Nations has been made by Mr. Nuri, Iraq Prime Minister, through the British Foreign Office, and Sir John Simon has asked the Secretary-General to place the request on the agenda, of the September Assembly meeting.
