CANNING INDUSTRY.
NEW ZEALAND INTEREST. OTTAWA, July 29. Mr. J. G. Coates and other members of the New Zealand delegation to the Ottawa Conference visited the Canadian Packing Company's meat canning works on the outskirts of the city. They viewed all the processes, and were specially interested in the condition of live cattle after travelling 2000 miles from the West. The visitors were not impressed with the quality of the sheep and lambs.
