COMMENTS OF MAGISTRATE.
(By Tcidgrrapn.—Press Association^ TIMARtJ, Friday. With reference to remarks by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, who at the trial at Timaru this week commented adversely upon prejudicial oomhients of the magistrate who conducted the preliminary proceedings in the Mount Cook murder charge, it ought to be explained that the reference did not concern Mr. C. R. Orr-Walker, resident magistrate At Timam.
