CLEVEDON NEWS.
A credit balance of £22 wttti reported at the aiinual meeting of the Clevcdon Bowling Club. Officers elected were: — Patron, Mr. W. J. Hyde; president, Mr. C. Atchison; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Ryburn and McCullough; secretary, Mr. C. H. Mellsop; treasurer, Mr. R. McKenzie; committee, Messrs. A. D. Bell, .T. Dow, H. J. Bull, P. Graham and C. Campbell; match committee, Messrs. Ryburn, W. Gore, Mellsop; selector, Mr. W. Dawe; green superintendent, Mr. Gore; delegates to the Northern Waikato Association, Messrs. Atchison and Bull; delegate to Auckland Centre, Mr. J. H. Keith; auditor, Mr. S. Hepworth. At a meeting of parents and friends at the Clcvedon school it was decided to hold a party for the pupils, the proceeds to be devoted to paying the fees for the dental clinic and to augment the library fund. A well-known property at Ardmore, owned by Mr. G. Cairns, has changed hands, the purchaser being Mr. Winter. This is the first sale in the district for some time. A visit to the Anglican churches in the district has just been completed by the Rev. R. de Vail, a missionai-y on furlough from the Melanesiau Mission.
