OTAHUHU DANCE.
The Otahuhu Orphans' Club held its animal ladies' night in the Otahuhu Public Hall last Tuesday evening. The function, which is one of the most popular of the year in the district, was a great success, and was well attended by a largo gathering of representatives of city and subtirbaJi clubs, a welcome being extended to the guests by the president of the Otahuhu Club, Mr. A. McDonald. The programme had been well arranged by Mr. J. Gillies, the first part of the evening comprising vocal and musical selections, and the renderings of popular pieces by the orchestra of the Onehunga Orphans, while the remainder of.the evening was spent in dancing, which continued to a late hour. Solos were given by Mrs. Fearnley, Miss D. Moore, and Messrs. E. Marks, B. Skeels, A. Sutcliffe and P. Woodward; violin solos by Mr. R. C. Engel, 'cello selections by Mr. R. Pawson, pianoforte renderings" by Mr. L. Elliott, humorous sketches by Messrs. S. Knight, A. McSkimining and R. Yates. Among those present were: Mrs. A. McDonald, black taffeta and lace; Mrs. W. W. Massey, black lace and georgette; Mrs. A. McSkimming, black georgette; Mrs. J. C. Strong, liavy embossed georgette; Mrs. E. Marks, p.prieot crepe do chine; Mrs. A. T. Batgcr, black lace; Mrs. J. H. Christini, navy marocain; Mrs. A. T. .Martin, floral georgette; Mrs. J. Wilson, green satin; Mrs. A. G. Grinter, black chiffon velvet; Mrs. R. B. Todd, floral georgette; Mrs. R. A. Archibald, flame satin; Mrs. O. M. G. Hughsdn, maize velvet; Mrs. Mudgway, blue panne velvet; Mrs. H. Jackson, black faille silk; Mrs. J. J. Jackson, cornflower blue georgette; Mrs. Williams, beige lace over apricot crepe do chine; Mrs. W. Leighton, black velvet and lace; Mrs. N Preston, pink taffeta; Mrs. A. Reavey, apricot satin; Mrs. J. Coppin, cyclamen eharmeuse; Mrs. H. E. Sanders, lemon taffeta; Mrs. H. C. Engel, black satin beaute; Mrs. E. H. Solomon, black panne velvet; Mrs. A. E. Newson, cau de nil georgette; Mrs. P. J. Sheland, navy georgette; Mrs. J. Banks, figured ninon; Mrs." Durbridge, green embossed georgette; Mrs. M. Neilson, floral marocain; Mrs. F.
