SUNK SUBMARINE. 'Phone Calls to Promothee Are Unanswered. SALVAGE DIFFICULT. (United I'.A.-Electrlc Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, July 8. The sunken submarine Promothee was located at a depth of 230 feet by means of a buoy, which was automatically released when the submarine sank. It carried a telephone lino to the interior of the hull. However, there was no response to calls. The- position of the vessel renders salvage very difficult. The sieter ship of the Artiglio, the Rostro, which has had a large share in the gold salvage work on the lost British liner Egypt, is rushing to offer assistance.
