CHILDREN FOR MOTUIHI.
LARGE PARTY LEFT TO-DAY. . OTHERS RETURN , SMILING. Despite the wet weather the Community Sunshine Association's party of 83 children (53 boys and 30 girls) left Auckland by launch for Motuiln Island at ten o'clock this morning in the best of spirits. The gleam of anticipation of a orent pleasure was apparent in the eyes of the great majority of the children, • who have teen selected by the Department of Health to make the trip to the island for tha betterment of their health. On Motuihi Island the association has erected a splendid camp in one of the most delightful spots to be found there It has the full benefit of the sun and is sheltered from the winds. Healthier conditions could not be found anywhere, and in the vicinity of the camp there are an excellent beach and native bush and also open land where the children gambol about and grow S Seventy-eight bright-eyed children returned to Auckland by the same launch at about 12.30 to-day and dispersed to their homes. It was seen that all had derived much benefit from their month's holiday on the island—the usual period alloted to each party of children going down.
