Columbia hae now issued Volume 11. of the novel and epoch making "Hitstory of Music, by Ear and Eye" (DO3OO- - This is a work that should be in every music-lover's record library. The Dcbroy Somere Band has made a number of popular recordings tlue month. Oα D0X277 they present an old-time dance medley which brings in such old favourites as "At Trinity Church I Met My Doom," "Man That Broke the Bank at Monto Carlo," "Daisy Bell," etc. Another recording by this band is D0X272, a selection of tunes from "Cavalcade," the- great Drury Lane Theatre spectacle play. "Drury Lane Memories" is another recording of old popular favourites (D0X221). On D0X220 Francis Russell singe in liis usual brilliant style Tostl's "'My Dreams" and Clay's "I'll Sing Thee Song« of Araby." Columbia caters for the dancers on six or seven recordings of the latest dance tunes made by Jack Payne and his 8.8.C. dance orchestra, the Savoy Hotel Orpheana and the DebroY Somers Baud. On Regal Nos. •2135$ "and 21359, Mies Gladys Moucrieff eings "My Hero" and "Gypsy Moon," also "Wo Will Always Be Sweethearts" and ''One Hour With You." Besides these, Regal has issued several popular dance recordings.

Benno Moiseiwitseh has left the Dominion for Sydney. Before leaving, the celebrated pianist played Beethoven's "Emperor" Concerto, and Tschaikovsky 8 B Flat Minor Concerto, with the- Wellington Philharmonic Orchestra, both h\ the same programme.
