STOLE A CYCLE.

EX-JOCKEY SENT TO GAOL. "You have had opportunities in the past, but you do not seem to avail yourself of them," said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., to Leslie Wilson, aged 27, an exjockey, who appeared at the Police Court to-day for theft of a cycle valued at £10 17/, belonging to William James Evans. It was stated by Detective Sergeant Kelly that the cycle, which belonged to a railway porter, was stolen by Wilson from the railway station on June 23, and sold to a dealer for £1 5/. Wilson had been placed on probation, and only in April last his term was extended for 12 months. Wilson was sentenced to 21 days imprisonment.
