SOCCER CUP TIE.
LOCAL CHATHAM FINAL. BLANDFORD PARK TO-MORROW. CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES CONTINUE. The Auckland contender for the Chatham Cup, the Dominion club championship, will be found to-morrow afternoon (should the result of the Tramurewa v. Y.M.C.A. match be decisive). The former arc the present holders of the trophy and have had their name inscribed on the cup a greater number of times than any other club in the country. Their team this year is hardly up to the standard of those which have won the trophy in years gone by. Nevertheless, a cup-tie nearly always brings the best out of a team, and there is certain to be a strenuous encounter for the honour of being the Auckland representative olub in the remaining interdistrict matches in the competition. The winner will require to travel to Hamilton to meet the South Auckland champions, and if successful will be opposed by the "Wellington finalists at Auckland to find the North Island champions. As a curtain-raiser at Blandford Park to-morrow, Thistle, the championship leaders, will meet Nortl) Shore in a competition game. The meeting of these clubs in the first round resulted in a thrilling game, and it is anticipated that the match to-morrow will bo no exception.
