SUGGESTED RELIEF WORKS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANG ARE!, Thursday. In order to urge the advisability of proceeding as soon as possible with the drainage of the Blacksmith's Creek swamp at One Tree Point, Mr. A. J. Murdoch, M.P., left for Wellington today to interview the Minister of Public Works, the Right Hon. J. G. Coatee. Ho will suggest to the Minister that the old Ford Road at Kiripaka should be improved by unemployed labour, and that other important roading works should be undertaken.

Mr. 8. G. Smith, ex-Minister of Labour, who lias been staying with Mr. Murdoch, is also travelling to Wellington, where he will discuss problems with the Minister of Employment. Chief of these will be provision for boys leaving school.
