ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
ROTOMAHANA.-Thc R.M.s. Monowai (ox P. and 0. Razmak) arrived nn her first trip to Auckland on May 19, 1931. A photograph of the vessel appeared in the "Star" of that date. G.M.R. (Greymouth).—The first vessel to be wrecked oh the Grey Bar was the cutter Eclipse, which arrived there on May 12, 1850. The first steamer was the Bruce wrecked on the bar on July 15, 1869. J. R. BELL (Norfolk Island).—The South Sea Pilot states that the Kermndec Islands were discover.*! by Captain Leverne of H.M, transport Lady Penrhyn on June 30, 178 S. The Lady L'enrhyn was a unit of the fleet which brought the first convicts to Australia. RED FUNNEL.—The Harriet was wrecked near ('ape Kgmont. Taranaki, on April 20. 1834.
