PRUNING VINES.
As soon as the leaves are off. the vines should be pruned, so that the cleaning of the rods, etc., can be done at the earliest opportunity. Cut back the
laterals to within one or two buds; it the lowest bud is weak, then the one above it must be left, but do not leave the top bud if the lower one is a, good strong bud. All snags of dead wood should be cut away as close as possible.
