CITY COUNCIL DECISIONS,
GRANT TO EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION. The Auckland City .Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, presiding. A letter was received from Mr. Moss Davis advising that he had forwarded "to the citizens of Auckland" a further consignment of statues, paintings and ivory miniatures. On the motion of the Mayor, the gifts were accepted, and the Libraries Committee given charge of them. The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board submitted estimates of revenue and expenditure for the year ending March 31 next, and advised that the proportion payable by the council amounted to £31,304. The Auckland Fire Board also submitted estimates, and notified the council that its payment would be £10,253. A donation of .80 guineas was made to the Workers' Educational Association.
