PRICES AT FRANKTON. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton ealeyards on Tuesday, June 7, as under:— Fat Sheep.—An average yarding. Prices for anything but a few choice pairs were lower. Extra prime were on a par with last week. Good fat wethers, 12/3; fat ewes, 6/4 to 7/3; fat lambs, 8/ to 13/. Store Sheep.— A fair yarding, which sold at late rates. F.M. ewes in lamb to S.D. rams, 6/6; storo woolly lambs, 6/1; small woolly lambs, 3/3; store four and sixtooth wethers, 7/6; shorn store m.s. lambs, 6/; cull ewes, 3/9. Fat Caittle.—A large yarding. Prices generally were lower than, last week. Best steers, £5 2/6 to £6 6/; prime cows and heifers, £2 15/ to £3 5/; ordinary and inferior fat cows, 28/ to 37/6. Storo Cattle.—A fair yarding. Store cows, 10/ to 22/6; yearling heifers, 25/ to 36/; dairy cows, £4 to £6 for best; others, £3 to £3 10/; inferior, 30/. Pigs.—A small yarding of both baconers and porkers, which sold at advanced rates. Store pigs also were a shade better. Heavy baconers, £2 3/ to £2 8/; medium baconers, £1 17/ to £2; light baconers, £1 13/ to £1 16/; heavy porkers, £1 3/ to £18/; light porkers, 18/ to £1 2/; choppers, £1 10/ to £2 5/; large-framed stores, 15/ to 18/; best weaners, 7/ to 9/6; slips, 10/ to 14/; small weaners, 6/. Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, report as follows:— Sheep: Heavy fat wethers sold at 12/6 to 14/; lighter, 11/ .to 12/; killable, 9/ to 10/6; fat ewes, 5/6 to 6/6; lighter, 4/9 to 5/1; heavy prime fat lambs, 17/; heavy, 12/6 to 14/; medium, 11/ to 12/; light, 9/ to 10/6; runners, 24/ to 28/.
