BRITISH POST OFFICE.
LAST YEAR'S SURPLUS. RUGBY, June 6. The Post Office accounts for the past year show a surplus on the postal service of £10,823.000, and a surplus on the telephone service of £576,000. The deficit on the telegraph service was reduced by £180,000, compared with the previous year (£828,000). The total surplus is £10,555,000.
