FINAL TOUCHES.
» BOMBAY ROAD DEVIATION. OPENING NEXT WEEK. It is expected by the Auckland Automobile Association that the Bombay deviation, the route for which motorists have appealed for so long;, will be opened at the end of next week. The contract for the formation of the new route expires next Wednesday and the work is well up to time. The finishing touches, the work of constructing the crossing over the Pokeno Hill, where the level is being altered, is expected to be completed a week from to-day. But this work depends entirely on reasonably good 'weather.
