FASHIONS ON LAWN.
FINAL DAY AT ELLERSLIE. SMART MODELS IN TWEED. The boisterous weather of the past few days threatened to result in a parade at Ellerslie to-day of little else than closely - buttoned macintoshes, storm hats and umbrellas, worn by disappointed racegoers, but with the promise of the clear blue sky this morning, there was a large attendance and some very attractive models were noticed. Tweed suits and coats again held swc.y, and many of the ensembles showed the wide rovers and short jackets that are so fashionable at the present time. Cloth coats, trimmed heavily with fur, were also favoured, and over frocks of a light weight were worn handsome fur coats.
