Reference in the "Star" to the good work being done in the old Newton East School by the Women's Unemployment Committee has resulted in much interest being taken in the efforts of the committee to place the unemployed women. The latest gift is a ton of coal for the waiting room. When registering, the women frequently have to wait. and though the waiting room was kindly furnished by the Lyceum Club the fuel box«s were empty. Thanks to the gift of a ton of coal, the waiting applicants will not be uncomfortable.
