SLEEPING BEHIND PARK.
"At eleven o'clock last night this man was found sleeping in a convenience behind Victoria Park, and alongside him were two empty bottles which, smelt of methylated spirits," said Detective Sergeant Kelly, when Colin Jamieson Duff (60), a labourer was charged with being a rogue and vagabond. Duff said he only came to town on Monday.
Detective Sergeant Kelly: You can see he is badly in need of a little soap and water.
Mr. Hunt: Right. We'll remand him tor a week and let him get a little soap and water, and then wo can have a look at him.
