SERIOUS ISSUES. Victoria's Premier Enters N.S.W. Election Fight. NATION'S WELFARE AT STAKE. (United F.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Sir Stanley Argyle, Premier of Victoria, speaking at a North Sydney election meeting, said that he had come to speak in Sydney because he was convinced the. situation was one in which the welfare of his own State was vitally concerned. If New South Wales fell the whole of Australia would fall.
He added that the finances of the other States would be affected by what occurred in New South Wales. He quoted the Mortgages Taxation Bill as an example of legislation which would affect the whole of Australia.
The North Sydney seat is held by a Lang candidate. There are five candidates, two Independents, one U.A.P., a Langite and a Federal Labour.
