Cochet Beats Stefani in French Final. WINNER MAKING WORLD TOUR. (Received 1 p.m.) PARIS, June 6. In the final of the French lawn tennis championship Cochet (France) defeated Stefani (Italy), 6—o, G—4, 4—(5, o—3. The Italian was nonplussed in the first set. which Cochet won in 12 minutes. The Frenchman lapsed in the third set, but recovered his best form in the fourth. After the Davis Cup, Cochet and Merlin, the rising "star," intend to make a world tour, including Australia.
