NORTHCOTE HIGH SCHOOL

The Northcote District High School Committee met last evening. The roll number at the district high school is 97, and at the junior high school 277, a total of 374. The chairman, Mr. H. Shaw, who presided, stated that work on tho school ground improvement scheme had been resumed by 30 men under No. 5 scheme. The resignation as senior assistant at the junior high school of Mr. J. F. Potter, was received with regret, and he wae congratulated on his promotion to headmaster of the Richmond School, under the Nelson Education Board. Mr. S. T. Carter and the chairman were appointed delegates to tho Auckland Primary School Committee' Association. , Mr. H. Keinp reeigned his position ae secretary to the committee, and it was resolved to congratulate him on being appointed acting town clerk of Birkcnhead.
