HISTORIC FLAG.

REMOVAL TO MUSEUM. Anyone entering' the Public Library in Wellesley Street could not help but notice the tattered and torn flag in the large glass case on the left, and many a regular visitor will regret the blank space in future. Yesterday the flag was transferred to the War Memorial Museum, it being considered that this home was more in keeping with its historical associations. The flag was the Queen's and regimental colours of the 58th Regiment. It hung originally in the Supreme Court, from where it was transferred to the Library.
