MAY WANT A RACE.
The Paper Money mare Gold Money had been working well up to a lew days before the Great Northern meeting, but unfortunately for her owner pulled up lame after a gallop on the eve of the meeting. She appears to be all right again and was given strong work over six furlongs on tho No. 2 grass track yesterday morning, getting through her task satisfactorily. Gold Money has been paid up for in the York Handicap, one mile, to be decided to-morrow, but the fact that she lias not had a race for sonic time and had to be eased in her work last week may prevent her from seeing out a solidly run eight furlongs.
