NO WATER LEVY.
S T OR,TH SHORE BOARD'S DECISION. The North Shore Water Board decided it its annual meeting yesterday to make no levy on "water pumped from Lake Pupuke during the present year. The balance from the past year, it was deiided, was considered to be sufficient for the board's requirements. From the past year the board had a jalance of £38S, according to the lccounts presented by the secretary, Mr. A. E. Wilson. Receipts had totalled £505, with expenditure £17S. Of this, administration had twt £68, lake cleanIng £50, and engineering fees £60. The ;o?t of lake-cleaning would be l«s thii vear owing to the fact that relief abour might be used, *o the secretary suggested that no levy should be made.
