TYPHOID FEVER.

FOUR AUCKLAND CASES. REPORT TO HARBOUR BOARD. The medical officer of health at Auckland, Dr. T. J. Hughes, reported to the Auckland Harbour Board at its meeting this afternoon that in one of four eases of typhoid fever which had occurred recently, the patient bad eaten mussels or other shellfish obtained from the shallow water alongside the Orakei wharf, near the sewer outfall.

Dr. Hughes asked the board to take steps to erect notices of warning in English and Maori at suitable places along the Parnell-Orakei foreshore.
