NEWS AND REVIEWS. A STEPHEN McKENKA SUCCESS, STUDY OF BYRON.
The English Press gives long notices to Mr. Aldous Huxley's Utopian romance, "Bravo New World," which Chiitto and Windna have published. The shortest and severest that we have seen appears, in the "London Mercury," over the name of J. E. 8. Arrowemith. The greater part of it is just this: "After reading the first chapter of Mr. Huxl«\r'i new novel I was reminded of a phrase in 'Murius the Epicurean,' that has stuck with me ever since reading it, some twenty years ago: 'There are some things which a man may not look upon. . This was the Roman's reaction to a grand display of blood and slaughter in the Coliseum. It was my reaction to Mr. Aklous Huxley's imaginings." Probably it will be the reaction of a good many readers.
