MAY GO TO AUSTRALIA.

PRICE ON MASTER BRIERLY. ANTIQUE WINTERING WELL.

Mr. R. B. Hincs has received an inquiry from Australia for Master Brierly, and at the price quoted by the owner it is probable that business may result. The Musketoon two-year-old won races this season, despite the fact that he was growing and developing fast at the time. He is being properly wintered and should make a good three-year-old.

In the Whitiora Hack Handicap at Te Rapa Miss Albyn ran her best race of the season, thus bearing out the opinion that she would do better with the sting out of the ground. She was in the fighting line nearly all the way, and but for being slightly interfered with in the run home by Abbey Queen would have been closer up at the finish.

Mr. James Johnson's Musketoon gelding Keith Hall ran quite a good race in the Fairfield Handicap at Te Rapa. He drew No. 27 at the barrier and had to cover a lot of ground, but quickly raced up to the leading division. Entering the straight he was well placed while his condition lasted. He is nominated at the Auckland meeting, but will not compete, as in the meantime seven furlongs is a little too far for him.

During last week King's Archer was executing really good work on the local tracks, which are. in splendid order. In the Winter Handicap at Te Rapa he failed to act ill the soft going, and, being quite unable to muster up speed, finished well back. He is none the worse for the effort and is being kept going in view of competing at Ellerslie next week. Lucky Alice was not favoured by the going at the Waikato meeting, and therefore failed to run up to form. She is engaged on the second day at Ellarslie, and as her condition is right she will be among the contestants. The St. Amans gelding that recently joined Mr. P. A. Swney's team is a splendid jumper and will be seen out in hurdle events before long. He is fast moulding into shape and looks like being a worthy acquisition to the stable and likely to emulate the deeds of a good winner in Taumai. . . Judging by the way in which Antique is bowling along on the tracks he is in splendid heart, and it is quite likely that he will be carrying his owner's colours before the winter is over. He can gallop in soft going, so will not have to be kept for dryweather racing. A. E. Cox has The Ace—Marble Star fillr and Gigantic in nice trim. The latter is keeping sound and striding out in good style in his work. In his race at Te Rapa Arch Eagle was not at all prominent in the early stages of the running, but was staying on well. He has been doing well since and it Jβ expected he will compete at the Ellerslie fixture.
