NURSES' DANCE.
Dixieland was never more beautifully decorated than last evening, when a number of nurses gave a dance to their friends. The hall was strung with quaintly-shaped Oriental lamps, and autumn flowers were profusely used in each cubicle, the tall palms giving the cabaret a fine effect. Blue, red and white streamers, representing, the colours of the nurses' capes, were twined across the supper tables, high vases of Iceland poppies with feathery foliage being placed at intervals as floral decorations. In compliment to the nurses the orchestra included in its numbers, "The Rose of No Man's Land." The hostesses for the evening were: Mrs. S. G.
