Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, is in Dunedin. Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P. for Palmerston, arrived in Auckland this morning. Mr. Malcolm. Fraser, Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs, is visiting the South Island. Mr. Justice Frazer, chairman of the Transport Appeal Board, is staying at Stonehuret. Mr. H. H. Sterling, chairman of the Railways Board, left for Wellington yesterday afternoon. Mr. R. G. Shepheard, Auckland manager for Meeers. J. Ilott, Ltd., is visiting the South Island. The Et. Hon. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, returned to Wellington yesterday after a brief visit to Cheviot. Mr.-W. Grounds, who has been attending a meeting of the Dairy Board in Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning. Mr. C. K. Williamson, New Zealand agent for George Wills and Sons, of London, has transferred his headquarters to Dunedin. Mr. A. G. Barker, of Wanganui, formerly a member of the sub-editorial staff of the 'Tress," Christchurch, has been appointed editor of the "Ellesmore Guardian." Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director, and Mr. Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Co-op. Dairy Co., returned from Wellington this morning. Captain T. J. Watts, travelling advisory superintendent to voluntary fire brigades and secretary of the Fire Brigades' Association, is on a tour of inspection of the "West Coast. Mr. G. H. Pownall, recently elected president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, is to receive a letter of congratulation from the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association. Mr. Pownall is a member of the association's management committee. Mr. J-vhn F. Potter, first assistant at the- Northcote Junior High School for the past five years, has tendered his resignation in order to accept the appointment of headmaster of the Richmond school, Nelson, and will take up his new duties on July 1. Mr. Potter is a member of the Northeote Borough Council, second in command, with the rank of major, of the Auckland Mounted Rifles, secretary of Lodge Onewa, New Zealand Masonic Constitution, a member of the . management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union, secretary of the Auckland Primary Schools' Rugby Union, and vice-captain of the Northcote Cricket Tennis Club.
