MINISTER FOR MINES.
MR. MACMILLAN IN WESTLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HOKITIKA, this day. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Mines, arrived at Hokitika, yesterday. He visited Kokatahi, Koiterangi and the Riinu dredge and in the evening received deputations from the County Council, Prospecting Association, and the Unemployment Committee. The mechanical appliances in .connection with mining operations greatly surprised the Minister, who proceeded to South. Wcstland this morning. He will return on Friday.
