CATTLE POISONED.

THIRTY-SEVEN HEAD LOST. DUE TO EATING TUTU. OTHERS SUCCESSFULLY TREATED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OTOROHANGA, this day. While travelling on Monday with 109 head of cattle from the Aria district to North Auckland, a drover placed them for the night in a paddock off the new Hangatiki Road. Yesterday morning the drover found only 27 head of cattle left, the remainder having scattered. Thirty-seven were found dead through eating poisonous tutu. Other cattle which were found on the Waitomo and Te Kuiti Roads were treated, and are now recovering.
