FLUCTUATIONS IN SHAnbS. NOT SO BUSY. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND EASIER. Despite a healthy tone 011 the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday the recorded turnover was only moderate. Bidding at this morning's call was scarcely so keen. The banking section was distinctly quieter. For New Zealands, which sold down to £2 3/10 at the last call yesterday, the best offer this morning was £2 3/3. Insurances were firm. New Zealands changed hands rather better at £1 16/3, after which holders asked £1 17/. South British were wanted at £2 7/G, but there were no sellers. Australian issues were in demand, with £1 13/ offered for Australian Glass, £1 14/ for Burns, Pliilp's, £1 7/3 for British Tobaccos, and £1 3/9 for Tooth's Brewery. New Zealand Breweries were firm. The highest bid was £1 5/, but in view of the directors' dividend announcement, holders were asking £1 7/. A parcel of Whitcombc and Tombs' shares was on offer ac £2 14/. The Noon Call. At the noon call special interest in Moturoa Oil was confirmed with a sale 1/ higher at 4/3. Bank of New Zealands were on offer at £2 4/. bringing a buyer at £2 3/0.
