NEW AERO CLUB.
ENTHUSIASM IN MATAMATA. SYNDICATE PURCHASES 'PLANE (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MATAMATA, Monday. , The Matamata Aero Club, which was founded in April, has made great progress, and now has 20 pupil members, 13 of whom have received lessons. There are also 15 associate members. A local syndicate has purchased an aeroplane and a large quantity of spares, with the idea of assisting the club until it is in a position to purchase the machine. The syndicate has secured an option for six months over another 'plane and spares. The generosity of members of the syndicate in thus coming to the aid of the club has been greatly appreciated, and the club has arranged to defray the expense of bringing spare parts to Matamata. Further work done by the club has been the erection of a clubhouse, and efforts are being made to secure an entrance to the ground from Rawhifci Avenue.
