A meeting was held in Wesley Hall on May 20, when Mrs. Mayhead presided. Mrs. MeEhvain gave a brief account of tho recent conference in Auckland, at which she and Mrs. Mayhead were delegates. A report on the work of the gardening circle was presented by Mrs. Harvey. Tho president outlined a suggested scheme whereby the various, local bodies and societies might combine in the establishment of a depot for the collection and distribution of foodstuffs and other needful commodities to the necessitous poor. A bring and buy stall was well filled and well patronised. An interesting address was given by Mrs. Dreaver, J.P., of Auckland, who spoke on "Tho Art of Self Expression" and "Women's Work in the World." At the closo of her address, Mrs. Dreaver delighted her audience with three humorous sketches. The hostesses were Mesdames Otto, Gilchrist, Ilerold and Sellare.
