FORMER CANADIAN RANCHER,

LONDON, May 16,

The death has occurred ot the Earl of Egmont, formerly a Canadian rancher, from injuries received in a motor accident.

The 10th Earl of Egmont, Frederick J. T. Perceval, was «8 yeais of age. He was a distant kinsman ot the former earl, and was farming m Canada when lie succeeded to the title in J">»' 1929. He was only distantly related to tlie ninth earl, who was born in New Zealand, and who died in England on Januaiy 11, 1929. Mount Egmont, in New /.ealand, was named by Captain Cook afto the second earl, a prominent politician in the time of George 11., and irom Lol to 17GG First Lord of the Admiralty.
