FIRE AT NORTHCOTE.

SIX-ROOMED HOUSE GUTTED,

A fire occurred In a six-roomed house situated in Oncwa Road, Xorthcote, and owned by the Brunton family, and occupied by Messrs. Arthur and Peter Brunton, who have a bakehouse adjacent. The former was baking, and had boiled the billy in the kitchen. He went to awaken his brother, when he discovered the place to be on lire, and had to pull Peter out through the window. The fire brigade promptly answered the call, but three rooms were gutted. The building was insured in the Phoenix Office for £500, but there was no insurance on the furniture.
