At a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday, specially called to consider applications for the position of medical superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, rendered vacant by the resignation of Dr. E. Maguire, it was decided to refer the applications, numbering 38, to a special committee, for reduction to 12.
