Mr. Frank M. Winstone, managing director of Frank M. Winstone, Limited, left for the South last night on a business trip. The Hon. G-. J. Smith, the Hon. J. Trevethick, M.L.C.'s, and Mr. W. P. Endean, M.P., left by the express for Wellington last night. Mr. C. H. Grounsell, New Zealand manager for Harrington's (New Zealand), Limited, is on a visit to Auckland and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. E. C. Gaze, engineer in the Post and Telegraph Department, left for Wellington last night. He will be away several days. Mr. Beaumont Smith, general manager of J. C. Williamson's Films, Limited, and Mr. J. H. Tait, a director of J. C. Williamson, Limited, Sydney, returned to Wellington last night. Sir Francis Wylie, former secretary to the Rhodes Trustees, Oxford, who has been touring New Zealand, left witl) Lady Wylie for Wellington last night. Mr. F. R. Kitto, of Wellington, who has been superintendent in the Survey Department at Kedah, Federated Malay States, for the last four years, has returned to Wellington. Mr. E. E. Hirst, chairman and managing director of the British General Electric Company, Limited, in Australia and New Zealand, has arrived in the Dominion on a business trip. Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., who had been ill for several months, resumed his seat at the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday afternoon, and was warmly welcomed back by the chairman, Mr. William Wallace, and the members. Commissioner J. Cunningham, head of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, left by car for Putaruru yesterday. Colonel F. Burton, Held secretary, and Colonel L. Taylor, chief secretary, left for Wellington by the express last night.
