BOXING ON SUNDAYS.
MINISTER AS INFORMER. LONDON, April 15. After associating himself with public protests against Sunday boxing contests the Rev. J. S. Perkins, of the Zion Congregational Church, Hulme, as a common informer, has issued a writ against William Milward, manager of the Manchester Stadium, and Councillor L. B. Cox, master of ceremonies, in connection with recent bouts on Sundays. Mr. Perkins is claiming £1000 from Milward and £500 from Cox. The action will be defended.
