EASTER BRIDE.
CASB AGAIN CALLED. WOMAN IN TOWN YESTERDAY. "This is the case of the Easter bride," said Detective Sergeant Kelly at the Police Court this morning, when the case of Elsie Clare Pender, aged 34, charged with being an incorrigible rogue who habitually consorted witli undesirables, was called. "Last Saturday when she came here it was stated that she got married on Thursday morning, March 24, and w«3 arrested the same afternoon. She undertook that she would leave the city for the country with her husband by to-day, and accordingly the case was adjourned until this morning, but I understand that she was still in the city yesterday and had not gone north with him." Mr. Kelly added that it might be necessary to bring her in again, so the case was adjourned for a week.
