ASSAULT ON ELDERLY WOMAN
In the matter of the assault in the early liours of Good Friday morning by a man and a woman on an elderly woman, Miss Victoria Louis, who keeps a small dairy and confectionery shop in Napier Street, the occurrence was reported to the police a few hours later, and not on the following Saturday morning, as ha« been stated. Miss Louis, who was feeling very weak after the attack, informed the milkman of what had occurred, and when he was proceeding up Pitt Street about six o'clock he met two constables whom he informed of the assault. The constables arrived on the sccnc a few minutes later. i
