Lyons Declines Statement of Federal Policy. THREAT TO EMPIRE UNITY. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, this day. The Federal Cabinet considered the Anglo-Irish position arising out of Mr. de Valera's attitude regarding the oath. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, afterwards indicated that the situation at present was too delicate for a formal statement, but he intended in a few days to announce the Government's policy towards Ireland's attitude, which threatens Empire unity. IRISH BUDGET. Free State Has Deficit, Ulster a Surplus. YEAR'S RETURN. LONDON, April I. •A telegram from Dublin states that the Irish Free State Budget shows a deficit of £G30,234. Revenue is shown at £25,490,419, an increase of £1,131,223, and expenditure at £20,135,053, an increase of £809,009. A message from Belfast says the Ulster Budget shows a surplus of £11,048.
