A tiny head, exquisitely carved in limestone and no bigger than a walnut, was the gem of the collection shown in London recently iby the Egypt Exploration Society. As a result of her many exciting experiences she claims to have more scars on her body "than a giraffe haß spots!" Mr. W. Moore, of Hele, near Torquay, noticed a brown paper parcel under his hedge. The parcel was wet with rain, and when he kicked it hundreds of £ 1 notes scattered over the ground. At the police station, where Mr. Moore took his find, a count revealed that its value was £470. It is believed that the parcel may have been the hidden proceeds of a robbery in the district. Aberdeen butchers are coping with a haggis boom. A member of a leading nrm of butchers in the city said that his st were working overtime preparing haw,. for tinning and dispatch to all part England.
