AUCKLAND BANKRUPTCIES.
LOW QUARTERLY FIGURES. There were twelve bankruptcies in Auckland during March last, which represents au increase of one on the figure for the corresponding month last year. For the first three months of the year, however, the total is still below the corresponding figures for several years. Details are as follow: — 1032. 193*. 1930. 1929. 1925. January .3 4 10 9 6 February . 9 13 10 10 15 March ... 12 11 12 20 14 Totals . 24 2S 32 39 35 The bankrupts who filed last month comprised two labourers, a farmer, a motor car painter, draper, hotel proprietor, settler, married woman, fruiterer, service station proprietor, drainage board employee and a grocery firm.
