HOSPITAL CASES.
CONDITION OF PATIENTS. The waterside worker, Mr. James Redman, of 30, Keppel Street, Grey Lynn, who received serious head injuries when a hawser snapped on the Central wharf yesterday morning, while several men were assisting to shift a line of trucks, is reported by the hospital authorities to be in a satisfactory condition. Although the condition of Mr. C. L. Billing, aged 32, of Swanson, who received severe spinal injuries on Tuesday as the result of being trampled on by a horse, is still serious, a definite improvement is shown. Ernest Lancaster, the 10-year-old boy who received a severe injury to his hip when he was struck by a motor car on the Dominion Road extension on Tuesday, is still in a serious condition.
