On the occasion of his retirement the presentation of a travelling rug was made to Mr. A. C. Baker, for forty-eight years associated with the Royal Insurance Company, Limited, at a gathering of the staff on Thursday. Mr- W. I'avitt, former manager of the Auckland ofli:e, [who was associated with Mr. Baker for I a number of years, paid, a tribute him. Ur. G. C. Henderson, the present I manager, wished Mr. Baker the best of I good fortune and conveyed the good Wishes of the staff. Mr. Baker intends shortly to leave the Dominion on a holiday trip to England.
